Questions

Do I need my own diving gear in Dahab?

No. Full gear can be rented through a partner dive center and is quoted with your dives. Bring your own mask or computer if you prefer.

I'm certified but haven't dived in a while. Is that OK?

Yes. We start with an SSI Scuba Skills Update or an easy refresher dive at the Lighthouse before going anywhere deeper.

Is the Blue Hole in Dahab safe?

With a guide who knows the site and a dive plan within your limits, yes. We stay within recreational depths, and the Arch is never part of the plan.

I am PADI certified. Can I dive with an SSI instructor?

Yes. SSI and PADI certifications are recognised by each other and by dive centers worldwide, so you can dive and continue your training with SSI.

Private guide or dive center: what is the difference?

A dive center runs fixed schedules for groups. A private guide plans each dive around you: your level, your sites, your pace and your camera. Tanks and gear still come from an established center.
